The Province of BC has a new MVA Regulation coming into effect October 1, 2010 that requires emission reduction devices on commercial vehicles of model years 1989-1993, however, Emergency Vehicles are specifically EXEMPT.

Not all departments may be aware of the regulation or the exemption so this should be circulated to our members so they do not needlessly spend $2,000 on an upgrade that is not required.
